Made to serve.
Church isn't something we attend. It's something we build together. From the parking lot to the platform, there's a place for you on the team.
Why we serve
Jesus said He came not to be served, but to serve, and when we serve, we look most like Him. Serving isn't about filling volunteer slots; it's an act of worship, a way of loving God by loving the people He loves.
We believe every person at Westwood has been given gifts by God, and the church is healthiest when everyone is using theirs. Sundays, and everything that happens through the week, are only possible because ordinary people give their time, energy, and hearts.
We need people in every area, and we'd love for you to serve where you feel called. From the parking lot, to kids, to tech, to worship, there really is something for everyone.
Teams
Where you can jump in
Kids Ministry
Help kids discover God’s love: teaching, helping in classrooms, holding babies in the nursery, or welcoming families at the check-in station. You don’t need to be a teacher to serve in kids.
Youth
Walk alongside students in grades 6–12 as a leader at junior or senior youth group.
Worship Team
Vocalists and musicians who lead the congregation in worship on Sunday mornings.
Production & Tech
Sound, lighting, and livestream: the team that makes every service seen and heard.
Photo & Video Team
Capture Sundays, events, and stories: photography, videography, and editing that shows what God is doing at Westwood.
Church Online Team
Run the livestream and host the online service, welcoming, chatting, and praying with those joining from home.
Special Events Team
Help plan, set up, and run the big moments: picnics, holiday services, conferences, and community events.
Welcome & Hospitality
Greeters, ushers, and coffee servers who make everyone feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Parking Team
The first smile people see, helping cars and families arrive and leave safely.
Prayer Team
Pray for the church, the city, and those who ask for prayer during and between services.
Oasis & Outreach
Serve newcomers to Canada and our neighbours in Prince George through practical care.
Office & Facilities
Behind-the-scenes help through the week: admin support, building care, and event setup.
