The worship team leading a Sunday service at Westwood Church

Help shape what's next.

Westwood is partnering with City to City on a revitalization process: a season of praying, listening and discerning together where God is leading us next in Prince George.

What's happening

Listening together for what God is doing.

God is already at work in Prince George and through the people of Westwood. People are meeting Jesus and being baptized, newcomers are finding a home through Oasis and our apartment ministry, and our youth are sharing their faith with love and courage at school.

Over the coming season, through the end of 2027, we're stepping into a revitalization process with City to City. Together we'll gather those stories, listen for the Spirit's leading, and set goals for where God is calling us next. It all builds on the mission, vision and DNA we've just launched.

In partnership with

City to City helps churches grow, thrive and share the gospel in ways that are meaningful in their own city. Other Mennonite Brethren churches in the Lower Mainland have walked this road with them.

How we'll listen

Every voice matters

One on one

Personal conversations

Some people will sit down with Jamie Bester, a trusted outside advisor from City to City, to share what they see God doing.

Teams

Team conversations

Leadership teams will meet with Jamie to talk through what they are seeing and where they sense God leading.

Everyone

A church-wide survey

Everyone who calls Westwood home, or is just getting to know us, is invited to share through a short, anonymous survey.

City to City gathers everything that's shared and gives us a report to guide our planning. Westwood's team never sees individual interviews or survey answers.

Your part

Five ways to take part.

Some of these you'll do on your own, and some with your family or the people you share life with.

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Proverbs 16:9

1

Pray

For Westwood and your family, for our pastors, and for the ministry leaders and volunteers who serve so faithfully.

2

Listen

Pay attention to what the Spirit is saying, on your own and with others. Ask each other: what are you hearing from God?

3

Share

Tell the stories of what God is doing in your life, and where you see him at work around you.

4

Be excited

God is moving. Westwood is an exciting place to be, and Prince George is an amazing city to serve in.

5

Take the survey

Add your voice by Sunday, November 1, on your own time. It takes 10 to 20 minutes, online or on paper.

Revitalization survey

Add your voice.

Whether you've been at Westwood for years or you're just getting to know us, we'd love to hear from you. Your honest input helps City to City serve us well.

10 to 20 minutes, on your own time. Do it online, or pick up a paper copy at the booth in the foyer. Fill it out at church, or take it home and bring it back.

Fully anonymous. Westwood never sees names, personal information or individual responses.

Sent directly to City to City, not the Westwood team. They put together a report for us.

Please complete it by Sunday, November 1.

Our goal

80–90%

of our church family taking part. That's about 400 to 500 people.

Get the survey link

Enter the email you use with Westwood. Once we've checked it's in our church directory, the link appears right here.

Your email is only used for this check. It isn't sent to City to City or connected to your answers.

Who's guiding this

A team from across our church family.

These 19 people, including elders, pastors, staff and others who serve throughout Westwood, make up the revitalization working group alongside City to City. Hopefully you know one of them. Reach out with your questions, or if you'd like to share part of your story and what you see God doing.
