Our hope and prayer is that you'll encounter God, respond to Jesus, and follow the Spirit's leading, both in your own transformation and in serving alongside us.

Our four DNA strands describe the essential rhythms of life together at Westwood. They shape who we are, how we grow, and how we live out the way of Jesus.
Mission
Mission is joining Jesus in the present work of His kingdom by living and proclaiming the gospel in ways that bring justice, mercy, peace, and new life wherever God has placed us.
We live missionally by seeing our everyday contexts as our mission field and responding with courageous obedience to the Spirit's leading.
Worship
Worship is the corporate and daily practice of glorifying Jesus through prayer, testimony, song, spiritual practices, and lives fully surrendered to Him.
We gather to lift up Jesus and learn to offer our whole lives as an act of worship.
Discipleship
Discipleship is the intentional process of growing in obedience to Jesus through Scripture, shared life, accountability, and spiritual formation.
We disciple one another while equipping every person to make disciples.
Community
Community is a shared life marked by love, care, celebration, and mutual support.
As we walk together through joy and hardship, we bear witness to Jesus by embodying authentic Christian love.

Prayerful Dependence
We depend on God for everything we do.
We practice this by:
- Seeking God in prayer and remaining attentive to the Spirit's leading in our decisions.
- Praying regularly in our personal lives and gatherings.
- Sharing prayer requests and celebrating answered prayers together.

Generous Faithfulness
Because God has been generous and faithful to us, we live with open hands and committed hearts.
We practice this by:
- Giving our time, abilities, and resources to support God's work.
- Serving faithfully in the life of the church and our community.
- Being open-handed with what God has entrusted to us.

Courageous Obedience
We follow Jesus wherever He leads, even when it is difficult or outside our comfort zones.
We practice this by:
- Stepping into opportunities to serve, lead, and share our faith.
- Being willing to try new things in ministry.
- Trusting God when the path forward requires faith.

Unity in Mission
We move forward together around the mission of Jesus: making disciples.
We practice this by:
- Remaining aligned with our shared mission, beliefs, and values.
- Having gospel conversations with the people God has placed in our lives.
- Working for the well-being of our families, neighbourhoods, and city through justice, healthy relationships, compassionate care, healthy workplaces, and care for creation.

Disciple-Making Community
We grow in faith together and help one another follow Jesus.
We practice this by:
- Investing in relationships where people learn to live in obedience to God's Word together.
- Equipping and encouraging people to use their gifts in ministry.
- Supporting one another as we follow Jesus and help others do the same.
